Vacation!
I am sitting in my mother’s living room typing this. We arrived here yesterday afternoon. I haven’t been here in a year. It feels so great to be “home”. The trip here took forever. Our flight left from Dallas, so we left Lubbock on Tuesday night at about 10:30pm. It takes just over 5 hours to get to Dallas. We went from Dallas to Philly, and then on to Hartford, CT. My aunt and cousin picked us up from the airport and brought us to my mom’s house in Vernon, VT. Since I do have an issue with agoraphobia and general anxiety, the trip was very stressful to me. But as soon as I got into my mom’s house I felt a lot better. We didn’t do much yesterday, just visited and then we went to bed pretty early since we hadn’t slept in about 40 hours.
Today I woke up, still a little tired but happy to be here. It is a little after 2 in the afternoon. In a bit Paul and I are heading out to pick my friend Jenn up from her work. I have known Jenn since I was 9 years old. She is pretty much a part of my family. She will be staying at my mom’s for the next week. She took it off from work and will hang out with us.
My sister hasn’t left my side since I got here. She is 13, and she is my little angel. She is the most amazing person I know. She is so smart and talented. I miss her so much when I am in Texas. I can’t believe I haven’t seen her in a year!! I am going to spend as much time as possible with her.
There will be a lot of picture taking while I am here. I am going to get over my issues with having my pictures taken and get our camera clicking while we are here! I didn’t bring my USB cable for the camera, so I will make sure to upload some when we get home to show you all beautiful Vermont!!
Okay I need to get going. I hope to do daily blog entries. We have a lot to do while we are here, including going on a trip to Maine!!
